Acquisition Announcement | Vidamin Oy Joins VisionSense Technologies Group

Visy has acquired Vidamin Oy, a Finnish access control and traffic management provider.

The acquisition of Vidamin Oy (www.vidamin.com), a Finnish access control and traffic management provider founded in 2008, was finalized on December 31, 2024. Vidamin will now operate as a subsidiary of Visy and expand its role within a broader technological framework, reinforcing its position in the market.

Vidamin Oy – Smart traffic management systems

Vidamin specializes in smart traffic management systems, offering scalable solutions for both small areas and extensive corporate infrastructures. Its modular access management platform supports vehicle recognition, seamless integration with third-party systems, and industry-specific customizations to meet diverse needs.

A Shared History and Strategic Alignment

For years, Vidamin has incorporated license plate recognition software developed by its new parent company into its access control systems. The alignment of their solutions and expertise makes this acquisition a natural next step. “This collaboration unlocks significant synergies, allowing both companies to enhance their offerings with more intelligent, secure, and comprehensive traffic and access management solutions,” comments Tomi Korpelainen, CEO of both Visy Oy and the VisionSense Technologies group.

No large changes in operations

The two companies will retain their respective product lines while strengthening their cooperation to meet evolving market demands. “In the future, we can deliver even more effective and integrated access management solutions that prioritize automation and safety,” says Kari Arvonen, CEO of Vidamin Oy. “Joining forces presents an incredible opportunity for Vidamin to reach new heights. Together, we are stronger, with enhanced resources and expertise in the field,” Arvonen concludes.
